Introduction to Distributed Systems

Welcome to the first segment on ‘Introduction to Distributed system’

A report from the International Data Corporation or IDC has predicted that by 2025,we would have created approximately 175 zettabytes (ZB) of data . to put this into perspective, a zettabyte is a trillion gigabyte. even today , as simple an activity as getting a cup of coffee results in the creation of large amounts of data which can then be used for various types of analysis. this helps coffee companies evaluate what products to advertise more or sell in supermarkets or what new variants to experiments.

Ever wondered how businesses are storing, processing and analysing the huge amounts of data every day/hour/minute/second? distributed system hold the key!

In this video, our expert, Ajay , will take up the example of a company called coffee House and explain how data scales at the industrial level and thereby how this large amount of data can be managed with the help of Distributed Computing .
